Hello my loves, Hi, how are ya? It’s the weekend. Wooooooooo Hooooo!
Today post is all about my illnesses. I was thinking one night about them but in a positive way. I was thinking of what positives mental illness has brought to my life, instead of the negatives of mental illness.
If it wasn’t for my mental illnesses… I wouldn’t be the caring person I am today. I wouldn’t be the girl who I am today. The girl who knows how it feels to be at the lowest but also the highest.
If it wasn’t for my mental illnesses… I wouldn’t be so creative like I am today. I wouldn’t have this blog what is my hobby and what I cherish. I wouldn’t be the girl who did her time to talk: tea and coffee afternoon.
If it wasn’t for my mental illnesses… I wouldn’t cherish amazing memories and friends who I care about. I wouldn’t laugh at memes like I do now.
If it wasn’t for my mental illnesses… I wouldn’t know who are my true friends, like I do now. They accept my imperfections. They accept my manic episodes but also my dark depressive episodes. They know how to help me when I am going through an anxiety attack. Most importantly they help me fight these illnesses daily.
If it wasn’t for my mental illnesses… I wouldn’t know the vital signs of mental illnesses and I wouldn’t be able to help like I help out today. I wouldn’t be able to help friends and family who are experiencing any suicidal thoughts and I can save lives by talking!
If it wasn’t for my mental illnesses… I would have been a judgemental sod. I probably would have said, “Oh nahhhh, that can’t happen to me”! When it can happen to anyone, whatever circumstances you have.
If it wasn’t for my mental illnesses.. I wouldn’t have started my self-love journey and learnt that recovery is possible but also relapse is ok.
You know what? Mental Illnesses have been the pain in the ass. That is an understatement but if I had a magic wand to cure all my illnesses. You know what? I would choose it for a day to see what life is like without paranoia etc. Because mental illness is a sod at times, but my mental illnesses have shown me about life and have made me be a compassionate person.
Till next time!
With lots of love!
Shannon Diana xx
Mental illness isn’t going to get the last laugh. I am.
I fight for my health and for other people’s health every single day in a way most people won’t understand, we aren’t lazy. We are warriors!

You can beat these thoughts. I believe in you. I will always be there for you even if it’s on the internet or email or even in person one day. You are loved.
